Will was thrust into the world in February 1988. His first instrument was the Clarinet which he picked up in year 4 of primary school. It was at this school he was given his real first taste of what music could be. He distinctly remembers being played the Red Hot Chili Peppers Under The Bridge at the time when the All Saints cover was out, and being told by Coz of the now defunct Larrikin Love 'this is so much better than the All Saints version.' A year later by the time Californication was released Will had been sucked into the world of rock, and that was that.
A few years into secondary school Will picked up the guitar, and was in a few rudimentary bands with his school mates.
On a holiday to Hong Kong he bought a copy or Dave Navarro's Trust No One, and the first time he listened to it his world changed. It all clicked. Amazed by everything that was going in his headphones, he wanted to know how to record music and create these sounds. The producer Rich Costey still remains as one of his biggest heroes and influences to date.
Thus instead of staying on to his schools 6th form, he chose to go to a nearby 6th form college, where he took the 'oh so educational' A levels of Music, Music Technology, Art and ICT - a far cry from what would have happened if he had stayed at the same secondary school.
Here he learnt the basics of recording technology and attended extra classes to learn more. But more importantly it was here he became involved in the college music scene which was a hotbed for young talent, some of who are earning stupid amounts of money for their playing abilities. His understanding of music and also the amount of different music was broadened extremely. In his time here he co-produced and produced 2 EP's for the band Scarlet Blue, coupled with a few remixes.
After college a degree beckoned in Birmingham, and although in this industry the actual degree means nothing, the knowledge gained has been invaluable, with Will working on more creative, unique and professional projects all the time.
He currently spends his time between London and Birmingham listening to Mr. Bungle on the journeys back and fourth.
